Electrical Power & Emergency Power

An uninterruptible power supply (UPS), also known as a battery backup, provides backup power when your regular power source fails or the primary source is lost. A UPS also protects against certain power problems which mainly affect a computer and connected equipment.

Uninterruptible Power Supply which provides the ultimate power protection with clean and stable electrical power for networking hardware and computer systems is True Online UPS. A true online UPS typically costs more than other types of UPS, due to it having much greater efficiency. A True Online UPS runs continually on the battery via the inverter and no transfer time occurs upon loss of utility power, so it mainly protects against blackouts, brownouts, spikes or noise.

Generators are significant for businesses because they allow your business to continue serving and supporting customers during a power outage. Customers will still need to reach you, and your backup generator can provide power to your support lines so they can be available. Generators also help save battery power.

Another useful device is an Automatic Transfer Switch, or ATS switch, which is an electrical switch that automatically transfers a power supply from its primary source to a backup source when it senses a failure or outage in the primary source. An ATS will transfer a standby power source from a generator to a system when a generator is maintained at a fixed frequency, Hz or Volt.

Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC)

A computer room air conditioner (CRAC) specifically designed for providing constant temperature and humidity conditions with a precision air conditioning system in data centers, telecommunications rooms, or laboratories where a very high degree of precision is required.

The CRAC unit is completely different from comfort cooling, which is used in houses and offices. Data centers, computer rooms or telecommunications rooms need precision air conditioning systems to remove the heat generated by the servers and other heat sources.

The CRAC Unit will remove the high sensible heat load over 90% produced by the electronic equipment in a data center, and it also monitors and maintain server room temperature and humidity. When IT equipment is generally running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, means the precision cooling system will also have to be constantly running.

Fire Suppression System

Fire suppression systems are crucial to preventing computers, storage systems, and sensitive electronic equipment in server rooms or data centers from electrical fires.

The most ideal choice for server rooms and sensitive electronics and data equipment is Novec 1230 Fire Protection Fluid. 3M™ Novec™ 1230 Fire Protection Fluid is a clean agent fire extinguisher which was developed as a halon replacement and hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) alternative. It belongs to a family of chemicals called halocarbons, a group which includes HFCs and fluoroketones.

Not only will the clean agent extinguishers provide safe and effective suppression for an electrical fire, but it will also ensure that your valuable equipment is not damaged in the process.
